Showing off

Hi,
Sorry it has been awhile since my last blog.
I have been a busy girl.
In October I was at my first ever show- it was great fun. I made new friends and saw old friends too(Mary and John were there giving their support and my first mum Karen) For me it was all easy peasy- but my mum was very nervous. I dot know why, All it was a bit of trotting and then posing to a judge.
I came second and qualified to Crufts 2010- I am not sure what it means, but my mum is very proud of me.

"Mum- stop squeezing my tail please"

Summer holidays are now officially over. I love autumn though. I have loads of nice walk with my favourite friend Harvey. Here is a picture of him licking me goodbye after his mum and dad dropped me home. Isn't he handsome??

"Don't leave me this way....!"

I

I love autumn walks a lot. The more leaves the better. "Find a fauve from the picture below!"
When coming home I always like to bring a keepsake. A stick is always a favourite, but if I can't find one then a branch from the tree will suffice.

Wish you all pawsome autumn, speak soon

Padstow beach holiday

Hi,

I have just returned from Padstow(also known as Padstein and Padsjoki as my mum calls it-weird that...)- I had the best time ever. Mary, my much loved auntie got me a red harness for my holidays and I think I look a bit like Pamela Anderson in Baywatch on the photos? I didnt go to swim though, I much more prefer to bark at my mum and dad not to go too far as they were in and out the water like seals. Talking of which I saw 2 seals! We went on this boat trip round Padstow(slept most of that, the captain gave me a gold star for good behaviour) and we passed 2 seals chilling out on the rocks. They were very cute, but at least people knew what they were. When they saw me they asked "excuse me, but can you tell me if that dog is spaniel cross/spanish wizla(??)/one of the terriers". Then the next question is "how big will she grow" They must have asked that 100 times. My mum said she will say "Spanish Chorizo"to the next person who hasn't got a clue who I am...!
I am going to print some flyers about me next time I go away. Not that I mind people fussing over me. Love all the attention I can get. It was soo nice to have mums&dads friends Tiina(Finnish) and Felipe(Spanish) at the cottage too. They were calling me " a pretty pretty girl".
Felipe promised to be my "papa" when my dads not around- so hey- I consider myself lucky - I have 2 dads now!
I also met a pig- and he was BIG. Lot bigger than me, I wasn't scared at all, well not much anyway...!

Here is some snaps from the fantastic holiday- hope you enjoy them

Visiting my sister

Hi,

Lots has happened since my last blog.
I have been to see my sister. Her name is Mia. she is sooooo beautiful. Mum says I am beautiful too,but really she is special. Must be something to do with our gorgeous parents??
The visit was lovely. I also saw my old playmate Mason and we played for hours while my mum and dad were talking Fauve things.
I have grown into a big girl. Mum says I am a little bearded lady. Not sure if I like that name. I think I prefer "Darling", that is what my dad calls me.

have learned lots from puppy classes, but it was really sad yesterday as my mate Harvey wasn't there. He is on holiday down south.
It will be fauvetastic to see his handsome face again!

Day in Wetherby

We all went to Wetherby on Saturday to see my nan. It was a beautiful day and we decided to go and have a walk by the river. Well as the pictures can tell you for me it was half a walk - half a chauffeur driven rally! When the walking gets bit too much for my legs I can always jump on my nans scooter. Clever or what??
It was the most beautiful day and I made so many friends.People were so interested in me and my breed that I have been thinking about carrying some leaflets about me next time Im there. One woman who had 2 daschunds really wanted to have me,but my mum and dad wouldn't sell me for 10 million.

P.S the big white dog is my mate Bailey. He lives down the road and I love him and he loves me...!

Rally of Wetherby

My puppy class teacher gave me a task to "expose myself to as many different, (but good )experiences as possible"

So how's this for an experience? I 've done a rally of Wetherby!!!Me and dad went to see my nan in Wetherby and as she wasn't home we thought she might be in the supermarket. We started walking that way and all of a sudden I spotted the familiar figure on her mobility scooter. My nan! I ran to her like a kangaroo and jumped straight up to her knee.

My nan wanted to put me down, but I was that comfortable that I stayed in her lap while she drove the scooter down back to her house! Towards the end I even closed my eyes.
Next time you see me just call me a Flying Fauve. Or a flying Finn!

Summer camp & going to school

Mum and dad are back now and oh boy I had great time while they were catching crayfish(really!) and seeing mums family in Finland.

Mary& John(Harvey's mum&dad) and her family looked after me so well that I wasn't home sick once! You can read all my adventures and misadventures on Harvey's blog(Harveythebassetfauve.blogspot.com/) I loved all my new friends I made at Harvey's home and me and Harvey had brilliant time. We went on walkies (we were really good together)and played hours everyday. I settled in no time and was made feel so safe that you could say I was at the summer camp! Thank you Harvey and the family for being so nice to me

After the holidays I was told I would start school.
I thought I would be a tad young to go to school, but luckily all the other classmates are similar age to mine and guess what- my dream has come true- Handsome H is in a same class with me!
The classes are held near my home and the club is called "tailwaggers"- suits me, (tailwagging all the time...!)
We met all in a classroom and the trainer Angela told about the things we'll be doing in the next 6 weeks, it sounds very ecxiting and I like everyone a lot.
Hardest part was to sit still next to Harvey as I wanted to play with him,but we both did well.

Other classmates are Ruby the chihuahua and Jack Russel cross and Rocky the bichon frise.

We all got along well and had a little play afterwards. Cant wait to learn more next week, watch this space, Ill be as good as Cesar Milan's "Daddy"!

Above you find photos of me and my new pals. The pictures all look very fawn with me and H taking over the show...!! Ill see him again on Sunday so that has pretty much made my week mint!!!

Pup holiday with Harvey

Hi guess what?
My mum and dad are leaving me!!!
Yes that's right, you heard it first!
The bad news is that oh boy they will miss me,but you want to hear the good news??
I am going to stay with Harvey and his family!!!!
Yes this is the handsome Harvey I have been talking about!! Can you imagine how much fun I am going to have, its a doggy summer camp I say!!
I have met Handsome twice now and we have so much fun together, we like same things (toys and play)and dislike the same(rain!!go away!!!)- I am so lucky to have a good friend like him and he doesnt mind that I'll stay in his house.

My mum and dad are going to Finland. I'm not sure why i cant travel with them(maybe the ice bears would eat me????)but they promised next time I could get to travel with them.
I am really excited about the week ahead. Me and the handsome H and his lovely family, it sounds like pupful of fun to me!

"So youre leaving me???"

"Can I take my toy with me?"

"At least...

...cut the grass before you go...!"
